WNBA Las Vegas Aces Center A’ja Wilson Named MVP

After reaching the WNBA Finals on Tuesday, the Las Vegas Aces got more good news. Their center, past CYInterview guest A’ja Wilson [see here] was named the WNBA’s Most Valuable Player for a second time.

Ms. Wilson’s resume includes a national championship in college, while at the University of South Carolina, an Olympic gold medal on Team USA Basketball, the first pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft and now a second WNBA MVP Award. The one achievement Ms. Wilson is missing is a WNBA Championship. She is three wins away from adding that to her CV.

Game one of the WNBA Finals against the Connecticut Sun is Sunday at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

We remember when we attended one of the first practices for the Las Vegas Aces, in 2018. That was prior to the team ever playing a game. At that time, we CYInterviewed A’ja. She has proven herself to be an exceptional athlete and an inspirational human being.
