During the springtime, some of us partake in that activity known as spring cleaning. It involves going through things in our house that we do not need and, depending on its condition, throwing it out or donating it to charity. In essence, it is about taking stock of our material universe.
Though we may be able to organize our physical setting, what about giving ourselves a mental spring cleaning? This would be taking stock of our own lives and ridding ourselves of the people and things that have a negative impact on our lives. From deleting people from our phones we no longer wish to communicate with, to ridding ourselves of negative contacts on social media, to changing our eating habits and getting more exercise, all of us need some type of emotional spring cleaning.
To discuss this topic we welcome back nationally known psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig, known, among other things for her appearances on the Oprah Winfey Show, Today and Larry King Live to right here on CYInterview. Robi has provided interesting analysis on a variety of mental health topics. She now has her own show on Facebook Live called Talking Live with Dr. Robi Ludwig which people can watch via her Facebook page here.
