The Tinder Swindler Now on Netflix
On Wednesday, the Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler was released on the streaming platform. The movie profiles a group of women who meet an allegedly wealthy man, Simon Leviev, on the dating app Tinder. In the documentary, the women claim that Mr. Leviev is a con artist, who scammed each of them out of thousands of dollars.
While watching The Tinder Swindler, viewers learn that Mr. Leviev may have conned all his dating app matches out of as much as $10 million.
Aside from online dating, there are other ways for an individual to be scammed in the digital world. Caution is the byword when dealing with people you do not know. And when you meet someone online, who seems rich and surrounded by luxury, it does not necessarily mean they are actually wealthy.
There are some instructive lessons to be learned from watching The Tinder Swindler on Netflix.
