Above is a picture of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The photograph was taken on Memorial Day. A few weeks back, the hotel/casino was acquired by MGM Resorts International for over $1.6 billion from Blackstone Group.

With this acquisition, MGM Resorts International now owns nine properties on the Las Vegas Strip.
