The last year has been an exciting one for Samantha Hoopes. The 23 year old, Pennsylvanian model on the rise made her first appearance earlier this year in the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. The blonde beauty also worked for Guess.
Last month, Ms. Hoopes walked for the first time in Miami Swim Week. Fellow Sports Illustrated swimsuit models Nina Adgal and Hannah Davis were in the front row cheering Samantha on, as she debuted in that big week of swimsuit fashion shows.
In 2001 actress Roselyn Sanchez made her presence known in the movie Rush Hour 2. Playing an FBI agent, alongside actors Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, she portrayed a woman both alluring and tough.
Ms. Sanchez has gone on to successful roles in TV series Without a Trace, Kojak and, is currently on the hit show Devious Maids. The 41 year old actress, singer-songwriter, producer and writer recently appeared at the new South Beach hotspot Cavalli Miami, for a Venue Magazine party, where she was honored for being on the cover of the magazine.
Cavalli Miami is a restaurant and nightlife venue which opened earlier this year and is, as the name would suggest, a collaboration with famed designer Robert Cavalli. Ms. Sanchez is the Venue Magazine’s July/August cover girl.
This past weekend, Venue Magazine hosted a cover party for its March/April issue at Adore Nightclub on South Beach. The publication is run by editor Alexia Echevarria of The Real Housewives of Miami fame. See Ms. Echevarria’s past appearances on CYInterview [here] and [here].
The cover girl for the March/April edition of the magazine is actress, singer, songwriter and television personality Adrienne Bailon. Many will recall her as a Cheetah Girl in the Disney movie trilogy which kicked off with the film The Cheetah Girls in 2003. The movie was about a female music group. She was also the lead singer of the music group 3LW. At the end of 2013, audiences saw her with rapper Ja Rule in the movie I’m in Love with a Church Girl. This fall viewers will see Ms. Bailon when she co-hosts the syndicated daytime talk show The Real.
For almost seven years, powerhouse attorney Gloria Allred has been a CYInterview regular, providing us with legal analysis and perspectives on a variety of compelling topics. In 2012 Ms. Allred joined us, along with former New Mexico Governor and Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson for an important discussion concerning the fairness of the presidential debates [see here].
Recently, the civil rights attorney was on South Beach to receive a lifetime achievement award at the National Trial Lawyers Summit. Throughout her legal career, Attorney Allred has been fighting for the underdog. Her tireless work in the areas of women’s rights, gay rights and helping those who have been discriminated against, among other things, led to her receiving the President’s Volunteer Award at the White House. That award was presented to her by then President Ronald Regan. Speaking of Presidents, last year President Obama stated that Gloria was one of the best attorneys in America.
Edison Farrow, a long time promoter, has opened his first venue. Along with partner Ed de Caso, Mr. Farrow has brought his take on musical evening entertainment to Miami Beach. With the opening of The Cabaret South Beach, in the middle of December, the public has come to know a group of singers, who happen to be the venue's staff. One minute, they are bartenders and servers, the next they are on stage singing and covering the likes of Adele and Barbra Streisand.
Located between Washington Avenue and Collins Avenue, The Cabaret South Beach offers entertainment for the audience, who might not be interested in the typical club scene.
