We are only hours away from the College Football Playoff. The Alabama Crimson Tide plays the Washington Huskies in the Peach Bowl and the Ohio State Buckeyes face off against the Clemson Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl. The winner of both of those games will play for the College Football Playoff National Championship on January 9th.
To breakdown both matchups, we welcome back veteran college football expert Phil Steele. He is the editor of a long running preseason magazine for the sport. Mr. Steele provides his analysis on the two games that will be watched by millions of sports fans across the country.
How do you start 2017 right? Social Mayor of Miami, Real Housewives of Miami star, philanthropist, entrepreneur and author Lea Black tells us how you can make the most of the New Year. Opportunities pop up in our life every day. Consequently, Lea suggests we increase our self-awareness. She says those opportunities might not seem like much at first, but any of them could lead to something more substantial.
Last month, prior to the 2016 Presidential Elections, Mrs. Black had a conversation with us about the State of American politics [see here]. With Donald Trump heading to the U.S. presidency on January 20th 2017, Lea sounds off on Mr. Trump and why she believes he and his supporters are on the wrong side of where America should be today.
There are many places to celebrate New Year’s Eve. However, few compare to Las Vegas. Robin Leach, of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous fame, currently has a column and section on the Las Vegas Review Journal’s website, where he covers the city’s happenings.
Focusing on New Year’s festivities in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Robin says the acts to see begin on December 30th. Some of those include Lady Gaga at the Wynn, Bruno Mars at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, Sting at The Cosmopolitan, Elton John at Caesars Palace, Lionel Richie at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino and the Backstreet Boys at Caesars Palace, for a private party, among others.
The college football bowl season is here. This coming Tuesday, Washington State head football coach, NY Times Bestselling Author and CYInterview regular Mike Leach’s team will take on the Minnesota Gophers, out of the Big Ten Conference, in the Holiday Bowl. The game will take place in San Diego, California at Qualcomm Stadium.
This will be the second time in his career that Mike will have a team playing in the Holiday Bowl. In 2004, while head coach at Texas Tech University, his team defeated the California Golden Bears 45-31. Being a veteran of the Holiday Bowl, Coach Leach tells us all about what people should know about the game, tells us why he wants his school’s in state rival Washington to win the College Football Playoff and reveals some of his upcoming New Year’s Resolutions.
For many of us, the last few weeks have been a time of power eating. For some, this began with bingeing on Halloween candy. For others, Thanksgiving was the moment that the feeding frenzy kicked off in earnest. Oh, and watching football on the weekend while grazing on nachos, chips and pizza has probably not aided us in the battle of the bulge either.
With us on CYInterview, to share their perspectives on keeping our weight under control, are two extraordinary individuals. Thankfully, both of them have been with us on a variety of other occasions over the years. Individually, they have shared their insights and anecdotes from their respective areas of endeavor. Now, for the first time, we have paired them up – and what a dynamic duo they make!

The holiday season is here. People are celebrating special days all across the world. In some cases, people will eat a larger main course and more dessert. So how does one navigate the eating bonanza of the holiday season? To help with this, we welcome back neuroscientist and CYInterview regular Dr. Kristen Willeumier to tell us how we all can eat well during the holidays.
While at the Amen Clinics, Dr. Kristen Willeumier taught weight loss courses that included former NFL players. She tells us we should all practice something called mindful eating, where we take note of what we are eating and what types of foods we are consuming.
Thanksgiving and the rest of the upcoming holiday season are known to bring families together. One of the hot topics of conversation this year will be the recent 2016 Presidential Election. This and other discussions among family members could lead to some heated arguments and possible personal regret.
For some insight on how to deal with family members, during the holiday season, who have different points of view, we welcome back nationally renowned psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig. Dr. Ludwig has been on Today, Oprah, Larry King Live, as well as other media platforms. She always provides interesting insight.
During this 2016 college football season, few programs have won eight consecutive games. In the power conferences, one of the best stories of the year is Washington State. Currently the only undefeated program in Pac 12 Conference play, Washington State head football coach and CYInterview regular Mike Leach has the Cougars moving in the right direction.
The Cougars are ranked in the top 25 and are on the verge of having one of the most memorable seasons in the program’s history. With two regular season games left, Colorado and at home against Washington in the yearly Apple Cup, there is a chance for them to play in the Pac 12 Conference Championship. A conference championship could lead to the Rose Bowl and even, perhaps, a shot at being in the College Football Playoff.
