  • Up and Coming Actor Mario Temes a Man to Watch: From His Recurring Role on NBC’s Game of Silence to a Role in Cinemax series Outcast, Airing in 2017, This Actor’s Star is Rising

    He may only be 20 years old, but Mario Temes has already gotten to experience some of the heady heights of the acting world. Early this year, the American actor, of Cuban descent, had a recurring role on the NBC primetime TV show Game of Silence. He also just wrapped up a role in the Cinemax series Outcast, airing in 2017. With his father being a performer as well, it was Mario’s desire to be in the entertainment business. A few months back, Mario reached out to us here, at CYInterview, telling us he wanted to inform our audience about who he is and what he hopes to accomplish as an actor. We decided to take him up on his offer.

    This past Sunday evening was the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were there to honor the best that television has to offer. The cast of Netflix’s political drama House of Cards was on hand. The show was honored with nominations for Outstanding Drama, Lead Actor in a Drama and Lead Actress in a Drama, among others. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, the stars of the popular show made appearances at the Netflix Emmy party at NeueHouse, in Los Angeles.

    Autumn is upon us and New York Fashion week has just wrapped up. So what is in for the fall season, fashion wise? Wardrobe/lifestyle expert, entrepreneur and personal shopper Angelique Michelle joins us to clue us in. A resident of Washington D.C., who frequently travels, Angelique has spent many years in the fashion industry providing guidance to a variety of celebrities, which her bio tells us includes Gloria Estefan [see here] and retired NFL star Clinton Portis [see here], both of whom have been CYInterview guests. Ms. Michelle is the President and CEO of Iconiq. Her company does image consulting and virtual styling. Her business just launched a mobile phone app that you can download in the Google Plus Store and Apple Store, called the Iconiq Style App.

  • Documentary Filmmaker/Author Angelo Guglielmo Offers Perspective and Insight on the 15th Anniversary of September 11

    Sunday was the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. What has come to be known as 9/11 is a day Americans remember and pay their respects to those most directly impacted by one of the darkest days in the nation’s history. Native New Yorker Angelo Guglielmo is a documentary filmmaker and author. His Emmy nominated documentary The Woman Who Wasn’t There, featured some of the survivors who were in the Twin Towers that day.     Last year we brought you the story of child acting star Mason Reese [see here]. He is best known for his 1970s commercials, being the first celebrity from commercials to be on the cover of TV Guide and his numerous appearances on the Mike Douglas Show. Today, his life focuses on a variety of projects in the music industry and his enduring passion to get a TV pilot he shot picked up. The TV pilot Mason is working on called Life Interrupted has many prominent TV stars attached to it, including Dawn Wells from Gilligan’s Island, Erin Murphy from Bewitched and Alison Arngrim from Little House on the Praire, among others. Mason says there will be new developments on the project in early 2017.

    Recently, we welcomed back bodybuilding legend, actor, professional wrestler and all around entertainer Ric Drasin. The host of the popular YouTube show Ric’s Corner gave us an update on his recent health challenge and told us former WWE Champion and actor Steve Austin visited him in the hospital [see here]. Known as a man from the golden age of bodybuilding, Ric trained at legendary iron pumping establishment Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach, California, with bodybuilder supreme, Hollywood action star and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. In a few weeks, the National Geographic Channel will be showing a documentary titled Facing Arnold Schwarzenegger. It airs on September 27th at 9:00 PM.

Of course, we are talking about none other than past CYInterview guest Ric Drasin. Recently, the former Mr. Venice Beach was in and out of the hospital. Ric Drasin tells us what happened and gives an in-depth recounting of his recent health challenge, from beginning to end. While in the hospital, the host of Ric’s Corner was reached out to by some well-known individuals, including former WWE World Champion and movie star Steve Austin, who checked in on him.     In our recent CYInterview with amateur wrestling, MMA and professional wrestling great Dan Severn [see here], he talked about his first meeting with UFC Co-Founder Art Davie. Mr. Davie brought Mr. Severn into the UFC, where he became a well-known name in the fighting community. Dan also shared with us his desire to fight both Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock one more time. Both Shamrock and Gracie were on the first UFC event back in 1993, which came together, in large measure, because of the vision and efforts of Art Davie. The story is laid out in the UFC Co-Founder’s book Is This Legal? The Inside Story of the First UFC From the Man Who Created It.

Dan Severn’s dominance in amateur wrestling, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling makes him one of a select few who has succeeded at that feat. An accomplished amateur wrestler, Severn narrowly missed out on a chance to compete in the Olympics. That represents one of his few defeats in sports competition. “The Beast,” as he’s widely known, has accomplished amazing things in a variety of mixed martial arts organizations. However, it was the UFC that brought him to the top of the mountain. With 101 wins and 26 losses in 127 bouts in mixed martial arts, he is one of the most accomplished men to ever walk into the cage. Aside from MMA, he also achieved greatness in the world of professional wrestling. He had one of the longest reigns as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion and had a memorable run with the WWE.
