    Sunday was the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. What has come to be known as 9/11 is a day Americans remember and pay their respects to those most directly impacted by one of the darkest days in the nation’s history. Native New Yorker Angelo Guglielmo is a documentary filmmaker and author. His Emmy nominated documentary The Woman Who Wasn’t There, featured some of the survivors who were in the Twin Towers that day.     Soon enough, everyone in Hollywood will know the name Angelo Guglielmo. The success of his television documentary and book, entitled, The Woman Who Wasn’t There has brought the author, director and producer mainstream recognition. Millions have now seen his documentary on the woman who pretended to be a 9/11 survivor. The story is now on the road to being made into a feature film. The Woman Who Wasn’t There is also in consideration to be nominated for this year’s primetime Emmy Awards. As a creative professional who works behind the camera, Angelo has found his own way to show compelling pieces of the human experience. He is a superb documentary filmmaker. Now, he desires to move beyond documentaries into that very competitive arena known as Hollywood. Currently, he is focusing on succeeding in feature films.

    Academy Award Nominated Director Lasse Hallstrom Sits Down with CYInterview at the Miami International Film Festival

    Oscar nominated director Lasse Hallstrom has made some highly acclaimed movies. It began for Lasse more than two decades ago at the Miami International Film Festival, when his Swedish movie, My Life as a Dog, gained traction. He would end up receiving a Best Director Oscar nomination for the film. His movies, The Cider House Rules and Chocolat, went on to receive Best Picture nominations at the Academy Awards as well. Last month, Lasse returned to the Miami International Film Festival where he accepted the Career Achievement Tribute Award. Additionally, he brought with him his first Swedish movie since making My Life as a Dog. He brought The Hypnotist to screen at this year’s festivities.
