Washington State Head Football Coach Mike Leach on His Compelling New Book, Geronimo: Leadership Strategies of an American Warrior; More

As a child, Washington State head football coach Mike Leach had a fascination with American history and more specifically, Native Americans. As a kid, on his first trip to the library with his mother, the NY Times Bestselling Author selected a book on Geronimo. His mother ended up reading the entire book to him. Earlier this year, Coach Leach released a book, with historian and journalist Buddy Levy, on the Apache warrior titled Geronimo: Leadership Strategies of an American Warrior. The book is full lessons on goal achievement and leadership. With 2015 upon us, Geronimo makes a good book to start the New Year with.

Tennis Great, Martina Navratilova Tells Us What She is Up to During the Art Basel, IWC Schaffhausen Watch Event on South Beach: The Court Legend is Getting Married, More

Martina Navratilova is one of the greatest tennis players in history. With 18 singles, 31 doubles and 10 mixed doubles major championships, her grand slam championship total of 59 makes her the winningest major champion in American history, male or female, and second overall worldwide. Major championships consist of tennis’s four major tournaments which are the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. Few have contributed as much to the sport of tennis as Ms. Navratilova. Last week, during the IWC Schaffhausen watch event on South Beach, we had a chance to catch up with the tennis legend about what is going on in her life and how often she is now getting out onto the court.

Former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis at IWC Schaffhausen Event, During Art Basel, on South Beach: Talks About State of Boxing, Up and Comers, Floyd Mayweather, More

In 2004, Lenox Lewis retired from boxing as the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World. With a record of 41 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw, Lewis has one of the greatest resumes in the history of boxing’s heavyweight ranks. Today, the pugilist lives in Miami Beach, Florida with his family. Last week during Art Basel at the IWC Schaffhausen watch event on South Beach, we had a chance to speak with the former champ about what he is up to today, as well as getting his thoughts on the state of boxing.

Lisa and Lenny Hochstein of Real Housewives of Miami Fame at 20th Anniversary Edition of The Black’s Annual Gala: The Model/Philanthropist and Her Plastic Surgeon Husband Catch Us Up

Over the last two years, we have had various opportunities to speak with Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein, a model and philanthropist, and her husband Dr. Lenny Hochstein, a prominent plastic surgeon. The Hochsteins’ came out to support their friends Lea and Roy Black, as they have in the past, at this year’s The Blacks’ Annual Gala – the 20th anniversary of the event. Lisa wore a stunning gown from designer Claudio Milano. The couple just celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary. They told us what they did for their anniversary and what is new in both of their lives.

Legend Introduces Legend: Inimitable Gloria Estefan Introduces Incomparable Aretha Franklin at 20th Anniversary Edition of The Blacks’ Annual Gala; Ms. Estefan Praises Lea and Roy Black

When you think music and Miami, Gloria Estefan’s name is the first one to come to mind; and for good reason. With a career spanning more than three decades, Ms. Estefan and her husband Emilio Estefan of the Miami Sound Machine have long been South Florida’s show business power couple. Having sold millions of albums and won numerous Grammys, it is safe to save to say that Gloria is a legend. Ms. Estefan is currently working on a Broadway show about her life and the music she has made. The show is set to begin November 2015. We caught up with Gloria and Emilio at the 20th edition of The Blacks’ Annual Gala. The Cuban born singer introduced Aretha Franklin, prior to the Queen of Soul’s performance at the Fontainebleau Hotel.

Yesterday, we reported on the 20th edition of The Blacks’ Annual Gala [see here]. The yearly event would not be possible without the good work of Miami’s socialite, powerhouse Lea Black. Her husband, prominent attorney Roy Black [see our photo above] always lends his support for the event, making the couple a philanthropic dynamic duo. Over the years, Lea and Roy have been guests on CYInterview. Now they both share their thoughts on celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Gala, as well as what they are up to.

CYInterview Remembers Actress Misty Upham

We at CYInterview would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of actress Misty Upham. Recently, it was reported that the 32 year old Spirit Award nominee had died. Ms. Upham joined us earlier this year, sharing her life story. It was an amazing tale of a talented actress on the rise, who grew up on in the Blackfeet Nation and ended up in Hollywood. Powerhouse Attorney Gloria Allred Weighs in on Domestic Violence, Athletes, Floyd Mayweather and Advice for Mrs. Rice, More

This week the subject of professional athletes and domestic violence has led to a national dialogue, of sorts, on the issue. Last week, powerhouse attorney and CYInterview regular Gloria Allred [see here] held a press conference with Floyd Mayweather’s ex-fiancée Shantel Jackson. Ms. Jackson claims domestic abuse, among other things, in a lawsuit she filed against the famous boxer. In the last few days, the video which is reported to show former Baltimore Raven running back Ray Rice punching his girlfriend, now wife, Janay Palmer made its way onto the Internet and has become a story driving the media cycle. The video led to Mr. Rice being let go by the Baltimore Ravens. Many believe his football playing days are finished. Attorney Allred is arguably America’s most prominent women’s rights attorney, in addition to being a champion of many individuals who find themselves underdogs in need of legal representation. With domestic violence and professional sports being on the media's front burner, Gloria joins us to talk about representing Mr. Mayweather’s ex-fiancée Shantel Jackson and shares highlights from their press conference last week. She also provides advice for Ray Rice’s wife Janay Palmer and gives her thoughts on the NFL, and professional sports in general, when it comes to the subject of domestic violence.

Stunning Samantha Hoopes Walks Swimwear Like It’s Meant to be Done; Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Wows at Miami Swim Week

The last year has been an exciting one for Samantha Hoopes. The 23 year old, Pennsylvanian model on the rise made her first appearance earlier this year in the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. The blonde beauty also worked for Guess. Last month, Ms. Hoopes walked for the first time in Miami Swim Week. Fellow Sports Illustrated swimsuit models Nina Adgal and Hannah Davis were in the front row cheering Samantha on, as she debuted in that big week of swimsuit fashion shows.
