Singer/Musician Kristine Mirelle Performs with Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra Live, Tonight at The Nevada Room
Tonight, the Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra will perform for the first time since February 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many live acts have only just begun entertaining audiences again. The orchestra will be performing the music of Mozart’s sons, at The Nevada Room at 6:30 PM. The evening will include a five course meal.
The Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra began in the 1980s. During that era, it provided music for Las Vegas headliners Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. At that time, those stars often performed in the Entertainment Capital of the World.
The Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra’s goal today is to perform all kinds of music. This evening, for the first time, former X Factor contestant, singer/musician Kristine Mirelle will play with the orchestra. After spending a decade in Hollywood, Ms. Mirelle moved to Las Vegas recently. A piano player, she looks forward to playing some of her own material this evening at The Nevada Room.
“I’ve never played with an orchestra ever in my life. I’ve always played with bands and I’ve played those types of things. This is like a big dream of mine. So I was, you know, jumped at the opportunity right away. … I almost feel like I’ve been in Vegas for a while now even though it’s only been few months. But I’m super excited.”
Known primarily for her singing, this will be a new experience for the artist as she will be giving a piano performance without using her vocal talents:
“This will be the first time that I am just sitting with an orchestra and just playing. I’m not gonna sing at all. I’m just playing. … It’s one of those things, I haven’t been this excited about something in a really long time. So, this will definitely be one of those things that I can cross off my bucket list.”
