Show Business Legend Rich Little Remains A Powerhouse at 86; Still Wowing Crowds in Las Vegas!

In Las Vegas, the golden age of Hollywood is celebrated three times a week during Rich Little’s show at the Tuscany Suites & Casino. The show can be seen at the resort’s Copa Room Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 PM and Sunday at 7:00 PM.

During the show, the famed impressionist and show business legend shares his memories of working with the greats in Hollywood and politics that include Ronald Reagan, Johnny Carson, George Burns and Jimmy Stewart among others.

Rich Little said this about the latest version of his Las Vegas show at the Tuscany Suites & Casino:

“Basically, my show is doing an impression of somebody and then showing the real person with me. And I’m very fortunate to have a lot of those clips. And it makes the show interesting because, you know, I show myself with the person I’m imitating.”

The show business legend updated us on his health. We believe he will never retire, but he is not certain of that:

“I don’t know. It depends on my health, you know. My health is pretty good. I have trouble keeping my balance sometimes and I fall once in a while, which is dangerous. The other night, I fell in my kitchen and I hit my head and I thought, I can’t perform tomorrow night with this bump, but luckily I put ice on it and it went down. So, I was lucky. But you know, when you fall, you never know what’s gonna happen. You’re gonna hit something sharp or you’re just gonna fall down or hit your head, you know, life is, you know, you just gotta roll with it and whatever happens, well, it happens. … As long as you got your health and you don’t look 120 years old, I guess you keep performing.”

At the height of late-night television in America, Mr. Little filled in multiple times for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show. He shared this about the experience:

“I liked it, but I was terrified. The two shows that I did in my career that absolutely scared me to death were the Dean Martin roasts and hosting The Tonight Show because you’re filling in for Johnny Carson and I knew the audience was huge, you know. And so, if you didn’t do well, it would hurt your career, but I think I managed to do alright. I did 24 Tonight Shows when Johnny was off and that helped my career an awful lot.”

Rich said this about actress, philanthropist, past CYInterview guest Ruta Lee [see here]:

“She just brightens a room up, you know, and when she enters it, she’s just one of those rare people that everybody seems to really love and I love her dearly.”

The comedian had this to say about actress, philanthropist and past CYInterview guest Stefanie Powers [see here]:

“What a classy lady she is. Still looks great too. Wow! … Not only beautiful, but nice.”

Has Rich ever been asked to do an impression of Michael Jackson?

“No. I’d have to dance. I’d have to do the moon walk and there’s no way that would happen. Although I did the moonwalk once in a commercial as George Burns and it looks pretty good, but I was faking it, you know, I can’t do the moonwalk.”

During our 50-minute plus CYInterview, Rich shared stores about former Presidents Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford and show business legends Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Don Rickles, Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, Jimmy Stewart, George Burns, Jack Benny and Walter Cronkite among others.
