Shaquille O’Neal Presented Key to Las Vegas
Over the weekend in Las Vegas, resident, NBA great, entrepreneur and philanthropist Shaquille O’Neal was presented the key to the city, by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Councilman Cedric Crear.
Due to a $200,000 donation from Mr. O’Neal’s charity, the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation, two basketball courts at the Dolittle Complex at 951 W Lake Mead Blvd were fully refurbished. Additionally, 100 laptops were presented to the children who took part in this event.
Speaking about being able to make a difference in the Las Vegas community, Shaq said this:
“It’s very rewarding to me on a personal level, as I have lived in Las Vegas and know firsthand the tough times that these areas have gone through in the past.”
In recent years, Shaquille O’Neal has deservedly made a name for himself in Las Vegas.
