Ruiz Beats Ortiz! Former Champ, Boxer Andy Ruiz, Victorious
Last night, in a 12-round contest in Los Angeles, former unified heavyweight boxing champion, Andy Ruiz, won a unanimous decision over Luis Ortiz, putting the former champ back on track for another crack at the heavyweight title.
Mr. Ruiz took the championship from Anthony Joshua in June of 2019, by way of technical knockout, only to give it back to Mr. Joshua six months later, owing to a unanimous decision.
Andy Ruiz has skills and heart. He may well capture the heavyweight championship again.
