RIP Steve Smith: Former Raiders Fullback Dead at 57

Over the weekend, the Silver and Black nation lost one of its best. The Las Vegas Raiders announced that former fullback Steve Smith died. He was 57 years old.

Reportedly, the NFL star had a long battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He played for the Los Angeles Raiders from 1987 to 1993 and the Seattle Seahawks from 1994 to 1995.

In 1995, Mr. Smith won the first ever Madden video game tournament at the Super Bowl that pitted current and former NFL players against each other.
