RIP Ric Drasin: Golden Age Bodybuilder, Pro Wrestler, Artist, Musician and Host of Popular YouTube Channel Ric’s Corner Dead at 76
It is with great sorrow that we at CYInterview must report on the passing of our friend and frequent guest Ric Drasin.
Earlier today, it was announced on Ric’s Facebook page, by his children, that the legendary bodybuilder, pro wrestler, author, musician, artist and host of the popular show Ric’s Corner on YouTube, had died. Ric was in the hospital and had been dealing with health challenges recently.
The following message was posted on Mr. Drasin’s Facebook page:
“This is Sami, Adam, and Shane. It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of our father. He was everything to us. A father, role model, and friend. Not only was he an inspiration for countless people, but he truly cared for those around him. His life was steered by the desire to uplift and share his positivity. He always found a way to brighten the room with his humor. Ric’s immeasurable presence will be with us all forever.”
Ric Drasin was one of CYInterview’s most frequent guests. He made ongoing appearances with us since 2011. Among other things, he was a bodybuilding historian who shared stories about the greats he trained with or knew personally, like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu. He was also a good friend of famed professional wrestler and Hollywood stuntman, “Judo” Gene LeBell. He recounted many of those stories to us and on his popular YouTube show, Ric’s Corner.
We will have more on our friend Ric Drasin in the coming week. Ric was 76 years old. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ric’s family and friends at this difficult time. He will be dearly missed. This hurts.
