Purple Reign is coming back to the Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas entertainer Jason Tenner returns to the stage as music legend Prince. The long running production in the Entertainment Capital of the World will resume on May 27th.
Playing at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino, Purple Reign is arguably the most successful Prince tribute show in the world. Shows will take place Thursday through Saturday at 9:30 PM.
In 2016, we saw Purple Reign and CYInterviewed Jason Tenner, in his dressing room after a performance, when the show was at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. Jason shared with us at the time that his dressing room was the same one Elvis Presley used when he did his shows at the then International and Las Vegas Hilton from 1969 to 1976. Jason told us in that 2016 CYInterview that he met Prince and chatted with him, but he was not sure if the superstar singer/musician ever saw Purple Reign:
“I don’t think he ever saw us. I heard that he did, he snuck in, like I said, I’ve met him and sat and talked with him, but we never talked about me doing, I mean he knew, but it was never brought up, it was never part of the conversation.”
We look forward to Purple Reign coming back to the Las Vegas Strip. Every week, the Las Vegas entertainment scene is getting stronger, as more people go back to work doing what they love in front of an audience.
