Past CYInterview Guest, Comedian Kate Quigley Hospitalized for Overdose; Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli, Natalie Williamson Dead
Earlier this week, it was reported that past CYInterview guest, comedian/actress Kate Quigley survived a drug overdose. Ms. Quigley was hospitalized after taking what has been stated as cocaine laced with fentanyl. Fentanyl is a potent opioid.
Reports have it that Ms. Quigley was at a September 3rd party, where three others overdosed. However, they were not as fortunate as she was. The three other individuals, Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli and Natalie Williamson, died.
Yesterday, Kate tweeted on Twitter, “Working hard to get back to life!!!!””
Ms. Quigley has performed her standup comedy act in Las Vegas, at The Laugh Factory at The Tropicana Hotel and Casino. We CYInterviewed her at the resort, after one of those performances in 2018. You can see that CYInterview by clicking here.
During her run at the Tropicana in the summer of 2018, the hotel/casino had a billboard out front promoting her week of comedy shows. She told us what that meant:
“There are moments when I have to stop and go, appreciate this because it’s what you’ve dreamed of doing. And when I walked into the Tropicana this week and I saw the billboard outside with us on it, you know, it’s like you gotta take those moments and go oh, a lot of people never get to this. So even if nothing else ever happens, appreciate this moment and the rest is icing, you know.”
We wish Kate Quigley a speedy recovery.
CYInterview extends its condolences to the families and friends of Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli and Natalie Williamson. May they rest in peace.
