Olympics Feb 4th Beijing; Might Five Rings Make Way to Las Vegas?
The United States along with other countries across the world will be getting in the winter sports spirit in just a few days. The 2022 Winter Olympics will begin on Friday, February 4th, in Beijing, China.
Speaking of winter sports with an eye to things here in Las Vegas, Las Vegas Golden Knights Owner Bill Foley was featured last month on the cover of Haute Living magazine. A celebration was held at One Steakhouse at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, to honor Mr. Foley for being on the cover.
In 2017, Mr. Foley’s NHL team kicked off the beginning of a run of professional sports teams coming to Las Vegas, which would later include the Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Aces. There are continued reports about the possibility of the Entertainment Capital of the World getting a professional baseball team or NBA team as well.
Bill Foley showed the sports world that Las Vegas can have professional teams with strong fan support. Might the Olympics come to Las Vegas one day? We think so.
