Nevada Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue Leaves Las Vegas: Heads to Help After Hurricane Ida
Yesterday, Las Vegas sent much needed help to the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. The storm has left destruction in its wake and more than one million people without power. This natural disaster has so far impacted people in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
According to Fox 5’s KVVU, the Nevada Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue Team left Las Vegas yesterday and was ordered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to deploy to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It will arrive today, offering assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.
