Meeting Late, Great College Football Coach Mike Leach
College football coach Mike Leach spoke with us many, many times on CYInterview. The vaunted college football coach died in December of 2022 at 61 years of age. Coach Leach was at the helm of Texas Tech, Washington State and Mississippi State.
He was known for his fast moving offense, attention to detail and emphasis on the importance of academics for his players.
In 2011, Mike wrote the books Swing Your Sword, which was a New York Times bestseller.
We had the honor of meeting Coach Leach on different occasions. The first was in 2011 in Key West.
We still feel the pain of Mike’s death. We suspect we always will.
