Mary J. Blige to Produce Film with Lifetime TV Based on Hit

Off her halftime show appearance at the biggest football game of the year last month, singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige has joined up with Lifetime TV for an upcoming project.

Ms. Blige will be a producer on a film based on her first big hit, the 1992 song Real Love.

This is not the first time the Grammy winner has worked with Lifetime. In 2013, she played Malcolm X’s wife, Dr. Betty Shabazz, in the film Betty & Coretta, alongside past CYInterview guest Angela Bassett [see here].
