Magician, Las Vegas Headliner Criss Angel Celebrates B-Day Gives $1,000,000 to Charity

Recently, magician and Las Vegas headliner Criss Angel celebrated his 55th birthday with a party. The event was hosted at the House of Blues, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. During the party, there was a private concert and silent auction.

Mr. Angel donated $1 million in addition to the $315,000 that was raised at the party. Nonprofit organizations Cure 4 the Kids Foundation and Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada each received a check for $250,000. The remaining funds will be distributed in the Las Vegas community via future grants.

In 2015, Criss Angel’s son, Johnny Christopher, was diagnosed with leukemia. During his son’s most challenging time, both Cure 4 the Kids Foundation and Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada were there to support Mr. Angel’s son, whose leukemia has now been in remission since last year. The magician said this about his son’s recovery:

“A boy who went through more than six years of fighting pediatric cancer with the amazing benefit of the medical team at Cure 4 The Kids who oversaw his treatment, and then the team at Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada who helped him emotionally and filled him with hope during an otherwise dark time. That combination was paramount and powerful for Johnny Crisstopher, helping him to get to the finish line of ringing that remission bell on January 28, 2022.”

Additionally, Criss Angel has created a foundation in his son’s name, the Johnny Christopher Charitable Foundation. You can learn more information by clicking here.
