Magic, Illusions, Audience Participation: Xavier Mortimer’s Magical Dream is Family Friendly Fun for Everyone

The other night, CYInterview was on hand at magician/illusionist Xavier Mortimer’s Las Vegas show at The Magic Attic, formerly the Windows Showroom, at Bally’s Hotel and Casino. Xavier is a former Cirque Du Solei performer who was part of Michael Jackson One at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. For three years, the entertainer, hailing from France, has had his own show in the Entertainment Capital of the World. He is the first Cirque troupe performer to have a Las Vegas residency.

This is not your typical magic/illusion show. It is more like a theatrical production. Xavier stars alongside the girl he dreams about named Belle, played by Allie Sparks. Throughout the production, Belle assists Xavier with a variety of tricks. See our photo with both Xavier and Allie above, after the evening’s performance. The show has great background music adding to the experience.

What makes his illusions most impressive is the timing in which they are done. Some are performed in a second or less. A trick that particularly impressed the audience was when Xavier asked one audience member for their name and then asked another to name a celebrity. After asking for their responses, Xavier pulled a piece of paper from his mouth revealing the answers to his questions.

Xavier and Allie are very likable performers and the audience enjoyed interacting with them. After the show, the two were happy to pose for pictures with anyone in attendance. There is no cost for taking a picture with them.

Xavier Mortimer’s Magical Dream is a show the entire family can enjoy. It has magic, illusions, music and fun audience participation. It is worth seeing.
