Las Vegas Golden Knights and Homie Team Up to Help Put People on a Path to Home Ownership

Recently, the Las Vegas Golden Knights and Homie, a tech based real estate company, donated $22,060 to NID Housing Counseling Agency of Southern Nevada.

The donation is earmarked to assist African American people on a path to homeownership in Las Vegas. During the Golden Knights NHL regular season, Homie offered to contribute $10 for every save made by the team for each game they played. The final tally was $14,060. The Las Vegas Golden Knights contributed an additional $8000 to make the total $22,060.

Branch manager for the NID Housing Counseling Agency of Southern Nevada Shanta Patton said this in a statement about the donation:

“We estimate that with this donation, we can provide more than 130 families with counseling and education so they are better prepared and informed on the homebuying process.”
