Over the weekend, one of Las Vegas’s own was victorious in the squared circle. Super featherweight boxer DJ “The War Machine” Zamora remained undefeated with a victory over Raul Chirino by way of a second-round technical knockout. The fight took place at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
DJ’s record is now 9-0. Speaking after this latest victory, the pugilist said this:
“I wanted to come out here and make a statement against an opponent who has been in the ring with some notable fighters. … When I was younger, I was around Floyd Mayweather and his uncle Roger. I’ve always enjoyed learning from the best in the business. Right now I’m feeling great and I’m looking forward to getting right back in the ring when my name is called.”
We look forward to seeing what is next for the young boxer. He recently turned 19 years old.
