Las Vegas Based Artist Johnathan Schultz Joins Us to Discuss His Recent Achievement, New Studio, More

Recently, Las Vegas based artist Johnathan Schultz reached a new achievement. One of his paintings, Ordinal Diamonds | Inscribed Perfect Palinception 997,999,979,999,799, was auctioned off for five figures at Sotheby’s Auction House.

The South African born artist’s profile is rising here in Las Vegas. Mr. Schultz will soon be opening a new 11,000 square foot art studio in Downtown Las Vegas, called The Foundry.

Back in February, we attended Johnathan’s private VIP art party in North Las Vegas. This took place a few days before the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers played in the biggest football game of the year, here in the Entertainment Capital of the World.

Former NFL star and Dancing with the Stars champion Rashad Jennings was on hand for that happening. You can see our coverage of that event by clicking here.

Joining us for this CYInterview with Johnathan is a man who has been working on his own work of art, none other then CYInterview sponsor Rob Gill.

Rob’s work of art, however, is literary. It will be released soon and is entitled, Surviving Success. Additionally, he runs his own AAU basketball program, EPIC Elite AAU.

Speaking about one of his paintings being sold for five figures at Sotheby’s, Johnathan Schultz said this:

“Looking at the Sotheby’s Auction, that was something amazing. It came by, almost by chance that I was able to be a part of it. But when they saw what it was, Sotheby’s embraced it as well. So, taking a look at that there, it just puts me in a different position where I know that there’s extra collectors because I don’t know who bought that piece. I think that in itself is more exciting as well. Like, there’s individuals out there that are, you know, looking to me for what I’m producing and what I have produced.”

Rob Gill gave Johnathan Schultz a preview of his book Surviving Success:

“Along the way through I became addicted to drugs and alcohol and I got sober when I was 26 years old. And when I got sober, I was able to climb a financial wall of success, but I wasn’t at that point dealing with all the wealth mindset wounds that I had from my first 20 years that were handed down to me from my environment in my family. So, as a result of it, when I went from making $38,000 to over, you know, seven figures a year, I wasn’t able to emotionally handle it.”

Speaking about his forthcoming 11,000 square foot art studio in Downtown Las Vegas, The Foundry, Mr. Schultz said this:

“I think being in Vegas for you know, four years, has been a whole learning experience. But now I’m throwing myself literally into the thick of it. I think that’s where I’m starting to look at the space differently as well to where I was originally to what I want to, you know, build over here. And you know, part of the space is, I want to make it an experience. So, anyone that comes in there, they may not remember what they see in that, but they’ll never forget where they were.”

Johnathan also shared how some of his work has ties to Nelson Mandela and his family. Additionally, Rob talked about ties between the art and financial world.
