Las Vegas Ballpark Goes Smoke and Tobacco Free

Opening day of the Major League Baseball season is April 7th. Before a ballplayer reaches the big leagues, they improve their skills on the diamond in the minor leagues. All 30 MLB teams have minor league teams, across the United States.

Las Vegas has a minor league team connected to the Oakland Athletics. That team is the Las Vegas Aviators.

Before the first pitch is thrown out next week, the Aviators, Las Vegas Ballpark and the Southern Nevada Health District have teamed up to make the minor league baseball game experience smoke and tobacco free.

No smoking or tobacco products will be allowed at Las Vegas Ballpark. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, chewing tobacco and vapes.

The Las Vegas Aviators start their season on April 5th, welcoming the Reno Aces to town. The first pitch will be thrown out at 7:30 PM
