LaMonte McLemore is Back to Discuss Some of the 5th Dimensions Greatest Hits, More

Back in February, we had a wide ranging CYInterview with LaMonte McLemore [see here,] a co-founder of the multiple Grammy winning group, The 5th Dimension. Mr. McLemore has led an interesting and varied life as a singer, author, photographer and baseball player. He joins us again for another chat, this time to discuss some of the group’s biggest hits.

We discuss hits from The 5th Dimension music catalog including: Go Where You Wanna Go, Up, Up and Away, Medley: Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In (The Flesh Failures), (Last Night) I Didn’t Get to Sleep at All and Wedding Bell Blues.

LaMonte also shares stories about fellow 5th Dimension members Billy Davis Jr., Ronald Townson, Florence LaRue and Marilyn McCoo.

Mr. McLemore has a new song out called Cease Fire. You can hear it on YouTube here. LaMonte hopes the song can help bring the world together. He would like to bring it to the attention of the United Nations and President Trump.

Additionally, LaMonte, who is a big St. Louis Cardinals fan, tells us about the 100 softball games he plays each year and provides advice to young men of today about how to get the woman of your dreams.

Told in his own words, to his co-author Robert-Allan Arno, Lamonte’s memoir From Hobo Flats to The 5th Dimension: A Life Fulfilled in Baseball, Photography and Music is a great story about what one person can accomplish in a lifetime.
