In Times of Trouble, Remember People Can Work to Do Great Things: CYInterview with Chef Extraordinaire Wolfgang Puck on the Red Carpet of the Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas Last Week

For more than 20 years, celebrity chef and actor Wolfgang Puck has been part of the annual Power of Love Gala. The event raises money for Keep Memory Alive for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. It started at Wolfgang’s restaurant Spago, which was formerly at the Caesars Palace Forum Shops. Today, Spago by Wolfgang Puck is located at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

Back in 2011, we had the master chef on CYInterview for a profile about his life, cooking for the big award shows like the Oscars and Grammy Awards and much more. You can see that CYInterview by clicking here.

Last weekend at the Power of Love Gala, we caught up with Wolfgang Puck on the red carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Though Las Vegas is currently going through many challenges as the world deals with the coronavirus pandemic, it is times like these that we should remember that the Entertainment Capital of the World will be back to full capacity one day soon. More importantly, Las Vegas for all its entertainment focus is filled with people who care about important issues like brain health, and work to do something about it like this gala.

Mr. Puck has a long history in Las Vegas. Some might even remember him on episodes of the NBC TV show Las Vegas with past CYInterview guests James Caan [see here] and Marsha Thomason [see here]. The show also starred Josh Duhamel, James Lesure, Molly Sims, Vanessa Marcil and Nikki Cox.

Speaking about his view of Las Vegas, Wolfgang Puck shared these positive thoughts with us:

“I feel it’s my second home. … I think Las Vegas has grown so much, just like this event has grown so much. So, I think it’s more exciting here than ever. I mean, we have a real city now. We have a hockey team. We have a football team. I’m sure a basketball team [men’s team] gonna come and it’s really a great city now. We have people, don’t have to go to the Strip and gamble but you find a lot of things to do and have for the kids somebody to look up to. You know, find like mentors for the children, the hockey players or the football players. So, I think it’s gonna be an amazing year.”
