Happy Tidings Song, a Poem

Sing a sampling of soothing sounds
Energy and good will do abound
Look for it while and when you can
Understand the plan beyond mortal man

Cookie cutter solutions are shown
One size all methods are overblown
Choose a path that’s clear and true
Then live and see what you can do

We can be positive, if we want to be
We can fill our hearts with boundless glee
We can be the “we” we want to be
We can embrace mankind’s nobility

An ultramarathon is this thing called life
Where at times we’re mired in untold strife
But that is trivial, reflect and be
The beauty of the world is what we must see

When we focus on doing good
When we do those things that we should
When we treat all around us as our friends
This is when our hearts do mend

Naivety is not a curse you see
I am you and you are me
We all live interconnectedly
This is what we all must see

The wilderness of the heart is self-imposed
When darkness tramples what the soul does know
Focus on feelings, not just our clothes
This is how true growth really goes

Fragmented and stagnated in our status quo
Waiting for someone else to start our show
That will really go too slow
It is up to us to make things go

Empower yourself to do the good you must
For one day we will all return to dust
The Heavens are a good place to put our trust
And we can do brotherly deeds without a fuss

Random, candid and reaching wide
Forsaking pride for enlightenment’s tide
We all have a better version inside
Now’s the time to take that side

Finished, never, until it’s all done
Creating and sharing is what’s truly fun
The path is for you and me and him and her
For it’s up to us for this to occur
