Dean of Dancers Departs: Delecia Dean, Dancer with Fantasy at the Luxor Hotel and Casino Leaves Cast
New Year’s Eve was the announced final performance for Las Vegas show performer Delecia Dean, in the long running show Fantasy. A few months back, Ms. Dean joined us on CYInterview to talk about being the female revue’s 2019 calendar cover model [see here]. At the time of her stated departure, she had been with the show for more than a decade.
Back in October, Fantasy celebrated its 20th anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip and Delecia was on hand along with her castmates [see here].
Ms. Dean told us last year what it meant to be on stage performing in one of the longest running Las Vegas shows:
“As soon as somebody cheers for you, it just lights you up. You’re just like, ok, you want this? I’m gonna give it to you, I’m going to perform my heart out. And it’s just like this feeling of just joy because it is a passion and you love what you’re doing and when you see other people loving what you’re doing, it just brings out this whole different persona in you.”
Over the years, we have witnessed Delecia Dean perform on four separate occasions. She has always been a powerful and enchanting presence in Fantasy. With this new year, we wish her the very best in all her future endeavors. She is truly one of the Las Vegas Strip’s great entertainers.
