Dan Severn Wants to Be Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and He Should Be: Amateur Wrestling/MMA/Pro Wrestling Star Speaks Out
In amateur wrestling, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling, Dan Severn’s contributions stand out. Today, Dan is no longer actively fighting, yet he is still active in both pro wrestling and mixed martial arts as a trainer and promoter.
Though many might focus on his accomplishments in the UFC and mixed martial arts in general, his time in pro wrestling is quite notable as well. Dan was a two time NWA World Champion. One of his runs as champ was one of the longest in the NWA title’s history. His reign as champion gave him a chance to spend time with professional wrestling legend Lou Thesz. A former WWE superstar, he was part of the company during one of the most successful periods of that promotion’s history.
Dan tells us in our latest conversation that he is as proud of his professional wrestling career as he is of his accomplishments in MMA and amateur wrestling. He tells us he would like to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, for his contributions to wrestling sports entertainment.
