As 2010 comes to a close, it’s time for us here at CYInterview to name our top 10 interviews of the year. For the last two years, it was me (Chris Yandek) reviewing the best interviews myself. But doing things alone gets old.
This year, I’m pleased to have been joined by the always insightful, international columnist Jay Bildstein and CYInterview regular/supporter and world class, singing sensation Shontelle Layne, to discuss each interview making this year’s list. This is a chance for CYInterview readers and listeners to see how these interviews came about, what events may have pushed us to do the interview, how they might have impacted the media cycle and what they meant to us here at CYInterview.
Our 2010 year in review lasts almost an hour, is fun, fascinating and filled with interesting insights.
You can listen to the entire show below. Besides the discussion of CYInterview’s top 10 for 2010, Shontelle has lots to offer about every topic you can possibly think of. The super-talented Ms. Layne gives her thoughts on a wide variety of pop culture and social issues, while sharing some details about her life you probably are unaware of – including some very personal accounts.
Shontelle fans are sure to see a side of her they haven’t seen before and are likely to learn more about the amazing person she is. We get to hear her take on a range of things, from the sad passing of Teena Marie to hearing her talk from the heart about what her hit song Impossible means to her and her work as an artist.
