Recently, frequent CYInterview guest Dr. Kristen Willeumier, an insightful and articulate neuroscientist, shared her thoughts on past CYInterview guest psychotherapist, Dr. Robi Ludwig’s 2016 book, Your Best Age Is Now: Embrace an Ageless Mindset, Reenergize Your Dreams, and Live a Soul-Satisfying Life. Drs. Willeumier and Ludwig were on CYInterview together in 2013 for a powerful segment entitled, The State of the American Brain. The discussion they participated in with us is as compelling now as it was then.
Neuroscientist Dr. Willeumier wrote about psychotherapist Dr. Ludwig’s book on her Facebook page saying:
“In Your Best Age is Now Robi addresses the challenges women face in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s around our career, family, relationships, finances and beauty as we strive to create our most joyful, prosperous, purpose-filled life possible. She discusses how to build emotional resilience, how to adopt the “best practices of youth” and wonderful practical tools on how to combat stress, which are all backed by evidence-based science. She even goes into some great neuroscience research about the benefits of the midlife brain, where abstract reasoning, logic, verbal skills, pattern detection and reaching conclusions that serve our best interests reaches its peak. So to all of my female friends who could use a little boost in terms of transforming your beliefs around aging, this is a refreshing, uplifting read! Love her!”
