Call Him Murray The Immortalized: Vegas Headliner, Murray The Magician Celebrates 1,000,000 YouTube Subscriber Mark with Michael Godard Painting at The Golden Tiki in Chinatown, Las Vegas
Last night, Las Vegas headliner, magician extraordinaire Murray The Magician had an unveiling of a painting for him done by artist Michael Godard. The piece was done to celebrate the show business performer getting to one million subscribers on his YouTube channel. See our photo above with Murray at the event.
The event took place at the Golden Tiki, a bar located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip that serves, among other things, a variety of tropical drinks and is, of course, Tiki themed. A cast of Las Vegas’s artists, show performers and media personalities came out for the occasion.
After the unveiling, we had a chance to CYInterview Murray The Magician about how this art project with Michael Godard came together, as well as his thoughts on the painting.
Murray told us this, “It’s an original. You know, it’s unbelievable what his artwork goes for. Some of it goes for up to $400,000 a piece. He said this one’s worth about $28,000, $30,000.”
