Bouncing Back: WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces Start Season Tonight

Today is the beginning of a new WNBA season. The professional women’s basketball league is celebrating its 26th year.

Starting their fifth season in the Entertainment Capital of the World, the Las Vegas Aces will play their first game of the season on the road tonight, against the Phoenix Mercury.

The Aces will have past WNBA MVP, Olympic Gold Medalist and past CYInterview guest A’ja Wilson [see here] back in this year’s starting lineup.

Additionally, the team has a new head coach, Becky Hammon. Prior to coming to Las Vegas, Ms. Hammon was an assistant coach for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs.

Here in city, the Las Vegas Aces open their season against the Seattle Storm this coming Sunday at 7:00 PM, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

It should be another exciting season of women’s basketball in Las Vegas.
