Binnie Tate Wilkin of The Neon Museum in Las Vegas Wins Award

The Neon Museum’s storyteller has won a national award. Binnie Tate Wilkin has been awarded the 2021 Regional Excellence ORACLE Award by the National Storytelling Network.

The recognition is for her 2020 My Las Vegas program. That program is part of an outreach project giving students the opportunity to learn more about The Neon Museum’s collection and the importance of preserving history.

Since 2016, over 7000 students in Las Vegas’s Clark County School District have experienced the My Las Vegas program.

The Neon Museum is home to some of Las Vegas’s most famous signs, from hotels and casinos of the past.
