Barry Manilow Surpasses Elvis in Las Vegas

Last night, music superstar Barry Manilow performed the final concert of his record-breaking weekend celebration at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. CYInterview was on hand for the final concert of the weekend.

This week, Mr. Manilow passed Elvis Presley for the most concerts ever performed by an artist at the Las Vegas resort. The Westgate is formerly The International Hotel and Casino. From 1969 to 1976, Elvis Presley performed in the same theater that Mr. Manilow currently plays in.

The record-breaking weekend consisted of three concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Last night, Mr. Manilow celebrated the career of Elvis Presley by singing a few of his songs including Hound Dog and Can’t Help Falling in Love. Barry told the crowd he never met Elvis Presley. He shared that he hoped the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll would think his performances were positive.

As for the overall concert, Mr. Manilow, who has a show business career spanning almost 60 years, gave an energetic and exciting performance last night. The audience enjoyed hearing his hits including Looks Like We Made It, I Write the Songs and Mandy.

Visitors to Las Vegas can see Barry Manilow concert through the next year as new dates have been announced. His show is a must see.
