Bantamweight Boxer Joahnys Argilagos Remains Undefeated; Trains in Las Vegas

Over the weekend, the 2016 Cuban Olympic bronze medal winning boxer, Joahnys Argilagos, remained undefeated as a professional with a first round knockout of Luis Javier Valdes.

The bantamweight is now 8-0, with four of those victories coming by way of knockout.

The fight took place at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to the bout, the Cuban fighter did his training here in Las Vegas.

Before the fight, Mr. Argilagos said this about training in Las Vegas:

“I grew up watching great fighters fight at the MGM Grand, and all these historic venues in Las Vegas, and now I am here – training in Las Vegas getting ready to fight on a big card. I am living my dream, and I’m grateful to my manager Jesse Rodriguez for doing an incredible job with my career.”
