Amazon Studios Picks Up The Boy from Medellin: Film Follows Prince of Reggaeton, J Balvin, Prior to Big Concert

A documentary about the life of international music superstar J Balvin has been acquired by Amazon Studios. The Boy from Medellin gives an all access view of the singer, before the biggest concert of his life. The concert took place in his hometown of Medellín, Colombia. The film will debut this month at the Toronto International Film Festival.

J Balvin, referred to as the “Prince of Reggaeton”, was one of the first music acts at Kaos nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort, here in Las Vegas, when it opened in April of 2019.

We hope to see the Palms reopen one day soon. It is a great off strip resort.
