Aleem vs. Pasillas: Super Bantamweight Matchup for WBA Interim Title, January 23rd, Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Connecticut; Fight Airs on Showtime 9PM Eastern
On January 23rd, 122 lbs. boxers Ra’eese Aleem and Victor Pasillas will fight for the WBA Interim title. The 12 round bout will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The fight will air on Showtime TV at 9:00 PM Eastern.
Raised in Michigan, Mr. Aleem, pictured above, now makes his home here in Las Vegas, where he has been training for the upcoming contest. In a statement about the upcoming fight, he said this:
“This is a high-stakes fight and the winner will get a guaranteed world title fight,” said Aleem. “It’s going to be a good fight, but I am at the top of the heap. I knew I belonged at the top a long time ago and after my last fight that was proven. Winning this fight makes me the number-one contender, and the only thing left after this is to win the world title.”
