A&E Biography on Pro Wrestling Legend/Past CYInterview Guest “Rowdy” Roddy Piper this Coming Sunday Night
This coming Sunday, April 25th at 8:00 PM Eastern, A&E will air a two-hour biography on pro wrestling legend and past CYInterview guest “Rowdy” Roddy Piper [see here]. The cable channel is currently running a series of specials on some of sports entertainment’s biggest stars.
Mr. Piper died in 2015, gone too soon at the age of 61. During his time in World Wrestling Entertainment, he gained national recognition as one of pro wrestling’s greatest heels. His famous Piper’s Pit was one of the must watch segments during a WWE broadcast.
Roddy was also in the first WrestleMania main event, when he teamed up with Paul Orndorff against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T.
At the end of the 1990s, Mr. Piper had a run with World Championship Wrestling. In his early career, he worked in the California, Oregon, Georgia and Mid Atlantic Wrestling territories.
This A&E biography should be interesting, not only to pro wrestling fans but to the viewing public in general. RIP Roddy Piper. You are most definitely missed.
