Last year we had a chance to visit the long running adult show, Pin Up, featuring former Playboy Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclar at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas [see her CYInterview here]. However, a trip to the Las Vegas resort should never go without a visit to the top of the Stratosphere Tower.
There are many great things to do in Las Vegas. If you are looking for something you, your friends and your entire family can enjoy, the Stratosphere Tower’s Observation Deck makes for a great experience. Patrons can select to stay inside the glass lounge area or they can actually go outside and take in a panoramic view of Las Vegas including an unparalleled vista of the entire Las Vegas strip. Add to that the breeze and the sounds of the city below and a trip to the top of this incredible tower makes for lots of fun.
The Stratosphere Tower’s Observation Deck makes for a great picture background for a Las Vegas memory. For example, see my photo from the outside deck above. The Stratosphere’s official website says it is, “The tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States.”
For the thrill seeker, there are a few different rides and activities up high which you can partake in. They include a sky jump where you can leap off the tower from over 800 feet, the Big Shot where you can blast up 160 feet in the air, the Insanity Ride where you can go 64 feet over the tower edge or the X-Scream where you can catapult face forward 27 feet off the tower edge and dangle over 100 stories in the air.
The inside also includes a bar to purchase drinks and a variety of other activities one can partake in. The observation deck is open for visits all day into the late evening. Below, you can find some additional photos we took of the view. It is no doubt a must stop for anyone visiting Las Vegas and will leave you with an experience you will not forget. General admission tickets for the tower are $20 each.
